The 32nd International Symposium "Deltas and Wetlands," scheduled for May 12–17, 2025, in Tulcea, Romania, offers a platform for experts to explore and address challenges facing deltaic and wetland ecosystems. Hosted by the Danube Delta National Institute for Research and Development (DDNI), the symposium aims to facilitate discussions on biodiversity conservation, ecological restoration, and sustainable management practices.

Key themes of the symposium include:

  • Biodiversity and Nature Conservation

  • Environmental Factors and Ecological Restoration

  • Mission Ocean – New Research Approaches

  • Geographical Information System and Application System Modeling

Participants will have the opportunity to present their research through oral presentations and posters, engage in thematic workshops, and partake in a field trip into the Danube Delta on May 16, 2025.

Registration details are as follows:

  • On-site Participation: €220 (until March 28, 2025); €250 (after March 28, 2025).

  • Online Participation: €80.

  • Students, Master's, and PhD Students: Participation fee is waived.

The deadline for registration and submission of presentations/posters is April 18, 2025

The symposium will be held at the traditional venue in Tulcea, Romania, offering a conducive environment for networking and collaboration. Attendees are encouraged to arrange accommodations in advance, with recommendations available on the symposium's official website.
